As your therapist, I bring years of experience in helping individuals navigate the complex layers of stress and anxiety, particularly within Latinx communities and among adult children of immigrants. I understand the cultural pressures, the intergenerational expectations, and the exhausting reality of existing between worlds.

I help you identify your personal strengths and resilience that have carried you this far, empowering you to find your peace.

My approach will never be punitive or shaming. It will be focused on supporting you throughout your healing journey, honoring both your individual needs and cultural values.

Therapy will become a space where you get to express and process all the overwhelming thoughts and feelings that have been building up. We will explore what contributes to your stress and anxiety, and together come up with practical plans and steps to manage the overwhelm.

In addition, we will work on shifting the anxious thoughts that fuel your distress into more balanced, grounded perspectives.

Our sessions will include mindfulness exercises rooted in both evidence-based practices and cultural wisdom, helping you become aware of your breath, body, and the sensations that signal rising anxiety. I’ll provide specific tools like grounding techniques and breathing exercises to help calm your nervous system. You will gain empowering strategies you can use anywhere and anytime that will start to feel natural to you.

Our work together will be challenging at times, because it requires facing the things you’ve been avoiding and questioning patterns that may feel familiar but aren’t serving you. But with perseverance and support, you can learn to manage your stress without losing yourself.
